Connie Matz is a North Coast Artist
specializing in oil painting. Not only is Connie a gifted artist, her
uniqueness is her ability to teach others.
Most artists prefer to paint in seclusion, but Connie enjoys having
others surround her while she paints. She has taught at the Gualala Art
Center for four years.

Connie studied
art at Fort Steilacoom Community College in Washington State. Also
took a work shop from Wm. F. Reese of the University of Washington.
She describes herself as mostly self-taught. She has received Best
of Show and First Place awards. Connie is currently being featured
as the cover artist for the magazine (Menus From Mendocino). In her
own words, “I hope my paintings reflect how much I love the world
around me, and will help others to see it in a new way“.
