I love the whole process of creating a painting. When in the process
I'm only aware of the task at hand. It can be 11:00am and all of a sudden
it's 3:00pm. My ideas come from many sources. I work "plein aire," from
my own photos and from images in my mind. I have even dreamed a painting
and started it the next day.
I was an art major in high school and a Creative Arts major in
college. I
have studied with many famous artists all over the United States,
including Robert E. Wood, Tony Van Hasselt and Christopher Schenk. I have
worked in all mediums but once I experienced watercolor, I knew that was
my medium.
People say they see different things in my paintings every day. My
paintings hang in homes and offices all over the U.S. and Europe.
A native San Franciscan, I have lived in Gualala for nine years.
