Judy Vandegrift began painting with The Painting Experience Studio in
San Franciso over ten years ago. Her art work has been described as
"aboriginal surrealism" and as far as she knows she is the only member of
this movement.
Judy's images arise on a white piece of paper as dreams come in the
blackness of the night. All of the symbols in her paintings speak
wordlessly of our journey on earth, of the universal experiences of live,
of our search for the light, and of the cycles of death and rebirth. The
spontaneity and freedom as she paints gives rise to works that are filled
with life force energy.
Judy has master's degrees in education and business and is in the
process of completing a master's degree in art. Judy also gives workshops
in creative process and team building for corporations and non-profit
organizations.
