My career in art started about 25 years ago as a break from raising
six children. I started with paint by number. Then branched into taking
an art class at the YWCA. From there I went on to take lessons from
several different teachers in So. Calif. When we came to the North
Coast, I took more classes from local teachers and joined an art guild.
I mainly paint in oils and watercolors, painting the local scenery and
flowers from my husband's garden and, of course, our lighthouse in
Pt. Arena. I'm lately experimenting with using clayboard for the
watercolors and finding it extremely interesting and fun.
I hope to paint pictures that lift the spirit of the observer or
remind them of all the beauty God has blessed us with.
