My fine art oil paintings are bold in value, brush stroke and color. I
build
volume by combining the tactile qualities of the surface with rich color,
dramatic shadows and brush strokes that caress the form of the object.
I have been lucky enough to travel extensively, so I have collected
inspiration from many sources - Greek and Russian Icons and frescos to
Italian Impressionism. Living as close to nature as I do now has provided
me
with new inspiration.
My current work is deeper in tone and color. I'd like
to think this is a reflection of life experience and maturing passion,
similar to well earned wrinkles.
