"The focus of my work is my relationship to the natural world and art
collaborations between myself and Mother Nature using the materials of
that world. The work takes form in sculpture, including the vessels shown
here; painting; photography; and even performance art. My interests in
this realm include myth and symbols, healing, and spiritual and
psychological processes.
The particular pieces on display here are very much a result of that
process of collaboration. When a piece is begun, it is unclear what shape
it will take. The shape becomes apparent as a result of the collaboration
between myself and the material - how does it want to take form? How do I
and the material interact to create this form? Such is the process by
which these pieces have been created."
