Making art is for me an opportunity to express passions, contemplate
life and share ideas with others. It is a bio-phyla, life loving and
affirming act. Especially as it is nurtures the spirit and inner life
of the soul. And for some people it is like air, a necessity for
survival.
Inspiration and vision can come from anywhere, the works and play of
children, scenes from every day life, spiritual practices, yoga and
meditation, literature, artists and poets, visionaries, great
thinkers, and above all nature and natural phenomenon.
I feel our Gods and Goddesses speak to us in moments of profound
awareness and the arts can accent and increase the frequency of these
moments.
An exhibition of one's work is a chance to engage the public in an
exchange of ideas and energies to till the soil of our collective
imaginations to open our hearts and minds to new possibilities.
