Yvonne Pankowski uses silver, yellow and rose gold sheet, wire,
semi-precious stone cabochons and beads, crystals, wire and chain to
create jewelry with movement. Each metal piece is fabricated by hand
and is one-of-a-kind.
She uses a small rolling mill to make patterned and textured silver
and gold for rings, earrings pendants and toe rings. Then she uses
hand tools such as a jeweler's saw, hammers, files, dapping block,
pliers and a flexshaft to shape the metal. A Little Torch is used to
solder items and polishing cloths to bring the metal to the desired
polish.
At www.ympdesign.com, you can
see some samples of her wire,
bead and chain jewelry.
