STUDIO DISCOVERY TOUR
Saturday-Sunday, August 31-Sept. 1 and Sept 7-8, 2002
Labor Day Weekend & Following Weekend - Open 10am - 5pm


North Coast Artists from Cazadero to The Sea Ranch, Gualala, Anchor Bay, Point Arena, Manchester, Irish Beach and Little River will open their studios to the public on Labor Day & the following weekend. Following are 2 events to preview their work:

WINE & CHEESE RECEPTION - SATURDAY, JULY 20, 2002, 5-7pm
Gualala Arts Center announces the Preview Exhibit of this year's Studio Tour artists will be held at Gualala Arts from July 20 to August 4, with a Reception on July 20. Gualala Arts Center, 46501 Old State Hwy., 884-1138. Admission is free.

ART-IN-THE-REDWOODS FESTIVAL - AUG 17-18, 2002
Meet the artists at their double booth at the annual Gualala Arts’ Art-in-the-Redwoods Festival. Event includes live music, food, over 40 booths & an Art Exhibit. Champagne Reception on Friday, Aug.16, 5-7pm. Info: 884-1138. Admission is $5

This year’s art includes: holograms, sculpture, fountains, tempera, stained glass, hand-spun rugs, oils, textiles, watercolors, fused glass, clay, photography, gouache, pen & ink, copper/glass lamps, weavings, drawings, mixed media, furniture, gold/silver jewelry, handmade paper, tiles, prints, pastels, large outdoor sculpture & more.

The annual Studio Tour event is always held on two weekends beginning on Labor Day. 17,000 color brochures are printed and distributed July-Sept. To secure a free copy, please send an email request to garts@mcn.org or mail your request to:

The North Coast Artists' Guild has been putting on this annual event for 5 years. The Guild was founded in 1997 by Marji Ingersoll and Rosemarie Schwager as a part of Gualala Arts to better serve the needs of the local artists. We have over 150 members. Our activities include: annual studio tour, sponsoring venues for artists to sell their work, exhibitions, artists' internet list serve, web site, meetings, newsletter and more.
