Marji Ingersoll has been an artist for over 30 years, working in oils,
stained glass, pen & ink, batik, clay and bronze before opening her tile
design studio/gallery in downtown Gualala in January, 1991.
Her recent commissions include tiles of a Sea Ranch wedding, and a
mural for a home in Southern California.
In the Spring, 2003, she again taught tile painting for
Art-in-the-Schools and completed 3 mural projects (hung in Point Arena &
Manchester Elementary Schools):
a.. "Oceans" - a 40-tile mural - 2nd
graders
b.. "Great Blue Heron" - a 20-tile mural - 3rd
graders
c.. "Great Horned Owl" & "The Hawk" - a tile mural - 2nd & 3rd
graders
She is a member of the North Coast Artists' Guild, the Tile Heritage
Foundation, and Gualala Arts.
