"I believe that area carpets, the foundations and centers within a home
should be of enduring quality, vital and carry a sense of the past, present and
future of our culture.
"With my Current Carpets Line of carpets, my purpose is to develop a
new language of area carpets for our time. Each design originates from aspects of
life: elements, landscapes, or the spirit of joy in timeless human interactions. By
bringing these patterns of nature and human gathering into contemporary time, we can
see their continuity, be reassured by their consistency and experience the
vibrancy in their existence today and tomorrow."
Hansine provides a percentage of her carpet revenue to Heifer
International to provide wool bearing sheep to developing countries.
